It seems that while Democrat cities have a lot of crime, there are still more Republican cities with a high crime rate that is out there than what your meme suggests...

All cities have high crime rates, but democrat run cities are consistently worse. I was curious that salt lake was so high on the list.

Even at the city level, from a statistical level, I don’t like the data. It’s still not granular enough to weed out other variables. I used it in this meme because my PC t down and I couldn’t find a summary at the county or district level. A task for later.

Thank you for the article. Urban cities are always blue because the Republicans suck at winning in urban areas. Someone also said ages ago when I was a conservative is that Republican places are mostly in small country towns. This was before Florida became safe Republican territory.

I was gonna get some data into which cities are Democrat and which ones are Republican with high crime rates, which yes in the top 15, those cities are slightly more Democrat, but if I managed to make more data from the top 30 cities with the highest crime rate, it coulda been Republican. I tried to make it a screenshot, but my computer couldn’t fit all 30 cities on normal screen size

Republicans suck at running them.
The GOP is only good for false promises centered around demonizing the 'other.'
That's why their main base is rural and poor. And, as the charts I posted amply display, more prone to committing violence and murder.

But then isn't the poorer parts of an urban area Democrat? It's not because the poorer areas would be less educated, it would be because they would have a lower income and the fact that the Democrats would look after the poor.

I get this idea as in Australia, generally the poorer parts of metropolitan and regional cities such as Melbourne, Sydney, Geelong, Newcastle, Perth, etc would all vote the mainstream party (the Australian Labor Party) which have been traditionally centre-left but now centrist which have traditionally supported workers rights and looked after workers better than the Conservative Party (Liberal Party and National Party, no they don't believe in liberalism).

Exactly, the Republicans are widely viewed as this cold party who only cares for the rich and large corporations.

They're the party for either the old or for the rich. Forget the 1% of the rich being celebrities, most rich people vote Republicans so they can stay rich

No, there are two classes of Republicans, the educated rich who want tax breaks,
and the large undereducated lower class who likes to pretend they'll have money too one day but are actually very comfortable with being minions to their overlords.

That's why they so eagerly shifted gears for Trump, authoritarian figures offer the structure and guidance they lack in their lives, as well as a faux sense of pride to make up for that which they lack.

Just look at footage of his rallies. They are the stereotype of the slovenly loud low brow uncouth ugly American.

Many of those lower class rube people are the elderly because they didn't invest into their retirement properly. I don't know how people invest into retirement in America but in Australia we have superannuation. The conservative party in Australia wants us to use our super to buy our first home (which is stupid). And what's even worse is that Clive Palmer's so called 'United' Australia Party wanted to return super to Aus while Clive Palmer a billionaire and founder of the Divided Australia Party has avoided paying his taxes by likely investing his money overseas.

That's also what Trump does but I don't know.

See the Divided Australia Campaign's hypocritical campaign on making Super return to Aus in the 2022 Federal Election

No, that's not why they're poor. They had little money to invest to begin with.

We've had an actual poor class going back to the colonial era, when this was a penal colony and thus a dumping ground for England's unwanted. Most of what is derisively called Whi** ***** in America can trace their lineage all the way back to this criminal element, and their lack of education, terminal unemployment, and tendency towards criminality extends that far back as well. Gun culture as well - those are the stereotypical gun lovers people think of, and pics of the Jan 6th rioters are bursting with that demographic for that reason.

Then there's the descendents of slaves who've been largely shut out of opportunity and also heavily influenced by the people mentioned above, having lived among them in the South for centuries. Other minorities have been sidelined as well

Most states have 95% of its urban cities being Democrat run. Florida is the only exception.

And those 2 blue are states Trump claims he won as well.

That's because there aren't a lot of Republican run cites on ANY list. Republicans suck at winning elections in cities.
