But then isn't the poorer parts of an urban area Democrat? It's not because the poorer areas would be less educated, it would be because they would have a lower income and the fact that the Democrats would look after the poor.
I get this idea as in Australia, generally the poorer parts of metropolitan and regional cities such as Melbourne, Sydney, Geelong, Newcastle, Perth, etc would all vote the mainstream party (the Australian Labor Party) which have been traditionally centre-left but now centrist which have traditionally supported workers rights and looked after workers better than the Conservative Party (Liberal Party and National Party, no they don't believe in liberalism).
