You're far from alone, and I'm speaking as someone who's hung around the fandom since 2009.
It has indeed become one of the fandom's various obsessions, particularly as both newer members and the fandom itself have put such a heavy emphasis on sexual freedom and expression. As society started becoming more sexualized, furries with more p*rn in their gallery were seen as more fun and thus became more popular, whereas artists had to shift their focuses and follow suit if they wanted to make more money.

Sadly it sounds like those bashing you for hating y*ff are assuming you're bashing on the fandom as a whole, since it has become part of its identity.

Y*ff supporters can f**k off, I don't care if they're furries or not 💀

There's 2 explanations here :
- snowflakes syndrome: they enjoy it, but got shame on it so much that they'll overreact to any mention of despiting y*ff, especially from their group.
- guilt syndrome: they enjoy it, but feel ashamed and guilty of doing so, so they'll instantly go on the defensive when it's mentioned.

In any case, your opinion is 100% valid and I despite y*ff even more than p*rn, knowing that it is even more "bestial".

Its better for humane reasons and degredation of societal members, porn's actors face heavy dissapointment and hate from family and friends while yiff artists may stay anonymous.
