I think that one of the reason that conservatives are conservative is that they have this instinct and drive to do independent research on issues and then compare the results . . . and only then settle on a conclusion.

The first thing I do in regards to a controversy is to see what the Left's version of events are . . . and only then go see what the conservatives are reporting on the same issue. Then I decide what makes the most sense based on my KNOWLEDGE of history or economics or military practicalities or . . . whatever.
