Corporate Fascism

Corporate Fascism | CAPITALIST DYSTOPIA; A MEME TAUGHT TO AMERICAN CHILDREN
TO DEPICT 'FREE MARKET CAPITALISM'
AS CRUEL, UNJUST, AND SELFISH; THIS IS A LIE BEING TOLD
TO PROMOTE SOCIALISM
AND COMMUNISM; US 'capitalism' has become 'corporate fascism', with the
government creating laws to support and protect corporate
profit instead of supporting and protecting the citizens of the
country from corporate indifference and greed. Bruce C Linder | image tagged in free market capitalism, corporate fascism, communism, socialism, education, american students | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Didn't y'all spend the last 40 years trying to teach the world that selfishness in capitalism is a good thing? Greed is good, remember that?

So why is that teaching socialism to children all of a sudden? It's exactly the lesson you wanted this whole time.

You've been letting Gordon Gekko and Hollywood teach you about economics. Self interest is good...as is public interest. Building a better mousetrap is great. Paying off Congress to give you special protections is a nightmare.

No no, it all came from Reganomics and Thatcherism, and ultimately from the school of Ayn Rand.

Am I missing something here, was the last sentence supposed to in quotes as an example of what the rest is criticizing?

Punctuation is a lost art nowadays.

Well I meant that would be the only way for it to almost make sense in there, as in contradicted the rest of the meme.

Oh! I thought you meant me.

No idea, I think it's one of those things where they've heard that there's a thing called fascism and it makes people lose arguments if they are that, so they want to use that by calling liberals fascist and then they win. But it's not very well phrased and I assume it's meant to mean more to Bruce's buddies than it does to us.

I was later checking comments and saw you didn't react to mine then realized I hadn't specified to what is was regarding so it could have been misleading.

Sometimes imgflip doesn't even tell me when you've commented so don't read too much into the number. But it did confuse me the first time I read it.

I tend towards too wordy, but when I try to trim it, I end up making no sense.

btw, what does it say about a site where a Scott Baio png is available, as well as that book cover? I should have added "angst" to "Teen Beat..."

aye,
But it'd be a funny "Rosebud" on a suicide note: "But Scott Baio?"

You all must be AI's who have been watching me create memes. Earlier this week I created a meme with Scott Baio and then deleted the Scott Baio reference. As AI overseers, you saw that and have included Scott in my comments.
