Brother, I hate to be this way, but please use more punctuation. Also, Catholic is capitalized and 'big bang' isn't. Did you know that the concept of the big bang was thought up by a Catholic priest? Did you know Copernicus was a Catholic priest? Faith and reason are not opposed to one another.
As for the 'sitting down and praying to some God that might be made up', it is clear in the bible and in history. God gives strength to people if he wills it. Also, we can say definitively that he exists through our natural world.
Here's a hypothetical for the sake of argument: The world is purely physical, and the only thing that drives us is darwinistic principles. Would not everybody be psychopathic and hedonistic for all of history, trying merely to reproduce? Of course that's how it would be. And that's not how it is, therefore, God exists. We can know this because our ancestors knew it.
Not to mention the countless proven miracles that have occured. The Miracle of the Sun, october 13, 1917? That was seen miles away. Secularists reported on it. The freemasons will try to tell you that it was just hysteria, but tell me, why would the atheists report on it then?
