Have you read G.K. Chesterton? I think you'd like it. He died in 1934, but he wrote so eloquently and thoughtfully that his thoughts on where society was turning in 1934 still apply today. He spoke out against the suppression of what is good and permanent, feminism, communism, art, poetry, and quite nearly any topic worth reading about.

Chesterton was a FANTASTIC author. His Father Brown stories are still some of my favorite reads
