I never had to because I just acted normal, so they had no way or reason to think I was doing anything that could be considered weird.
Just don't act like the TV and SM stereotypes and don't make any big deal about it the same way that they do and there's a much smaller chance anyone will care. Proven method.
Once you start making a big deal about it and "come out" about anything, they'll immediately assume you to be the dramatic type following the example of those that give us a bad name. You don't need to "come out" for anything unless you're literally breaking the law.
