It is a whole cascade of events that starts when they get out of the Fox News Rage Cycle. Once all that manufactured fear and anger subsides they eventually venture out and meet other members of their community and realize they aren't all psychotic transgender communist freaks - even most of the democrats and OMG even the ones with different skin color. In the process they start using parts of their brains the up-tight-right scientists are told don't even exist (like the parts used for empathy and critical thinking for example). In the end it is the additional complexity combined with the dictates of the right wing anti-science overlords which make it virtually impossible for right wing scientist to understand left wing brains. Which is not the same as actually impossible. Like most of what the right puts out there these days. It's virtually true. Anyway, mystery solved. Glad I could help.
