I can understand the argument people bring up like:
“If you spent $1000 on a video game, that’s your problem, not the game’s problem.”
But spending this much money was impossible with games before this. Why? Because the developers didn’t create those systems of unlimited purchases, AND they didn’t paywall content.
Take this for example. Back in the day, I couldn’t spend $1000 on Call of Duty: Black Ops. If I bought the game full price and bought every expansion pack, then at most I’d be spending $135 on the game.
But now companies are giving us micro-transactions without any limit to how many we can spend. That IS the game’s fault.
