How it should work - if you want to vote then you have to be same age or older as the qualifying age to run age. For example just about every town in the US a person has to be eighteen or older to run for mayor. So a would be voter has to be 18+ to vote for mayor. However, to be able to vote for POTUS a person has to be 35+ because the qualifying age for that is 35.

Here’s an idea, maybe the people who are old enough to be sent off to war and die for some oil company’s profit margins should have a say in how their government functions, while senile out of touch boomers like you get to eat shit.
Where was that opinion when people who were old enough to be sent off to war and die for some oil company's profit margin couldn't buy a beer and a pack of smokes due to their youthful age?
Can we agree that your choice to imbibe and have a cigarette has less impact on society than your choice of our elected representatives?
Who set the restrictive age of 21 to buy alcohol and raised the restrictive age from 18 to 21 to buy tobacco products?
Who ordered the youth of America to go to a foreign land and die for some oil company's profit margin?
Maybe the age to vote should be raised to at least 21.
That way malleable, hyper impressionable minds have the opportunity to mature to the same level required to choose your vices.
