Legit Question About Real Life Situation. Advice Appreciated

We've had this dove for over 15 years. Darling is his name and he is family. He apparently got a bad infection and now he needs his eyes removed. He is our only bird. This is breaking my heart.

Sorry you're going through that:/ and ofc it's humane!!! You wouldn't kill a family member just because they are blind, you would care for them!!! So I would think the same of your dove. Care for him the same you would for a family member. I will keep you and your dove in my prayers

yes, as long as it wouldn't be in pain and you could take care of it, it should be fine

Honestly? I am one of the most sensitive people you'll ever meet AND I am too old to listen to trolls getting kicks out of being ugly. I have enough ugly in my life I don't need it from strangers. Everyone is attacking everyone these days over everything. I just took myself out of the loop. I just come here to vent because I don't expect many people see it. Nobody I know sees it unless I show them. (I'm not on Facebook or Twitter or any other sites)

How is your dove?

He's doing ok. Waiting for the vet to decide when to have the surgery.
