Executing murderers hasn't resolved murder, so what is this going to do?

It's an effective deterrent when actually applied. You seem to think that nature hates a crime vacuum, and so when we execute a murderer, someone else starts killing to fill the gap, when in fact, the world is literally down one murderer. As for what it's going to do... It's going to reduce the number of living rapists. Kind of thought that was obvious.

You forgot about what research has to say, and for more than a hundred years the institution of the death penalty has not coincided with reduced homicide, and doesn’t act as a deterrent. States that still administer the death penalty have higher homicide rates than those without.
This is why conservatism is dangerous, you engage in mindless dogmatism and won’t look at the evidence before you start killing people.

And you cherry pick one sided pseudoscience to defend your absurd world view. There is no evidence that is going to prove that having the death penalty convinces more people to kill and rape. That's seriously dumb. The best you have is coincidence, assuming your data is true, which I doubt. This is why liberalism is dangerous. It takes no effort to convince you of ideas you should be able to debunk with basic common sense.

Pseudoscience? You mean a well-established pattern that has produced the same findings for more than a century? Also I make a statement, so you make a baseless assumption off of it, that the death penalty induces people to murder, and suggest I’m dumb for it? The death penalty can be a failure and still not be the motivation for why people commit murders. You sorely lack in the critical thinking department.

Yeah, it would be a shame if my intellectual observations about the inner collapse and decay of the inner contradictions of class society in any way interfered with the regular anti-intellectual attitudes, science denying, fascist flirtation, excited fake news and conspiracy theory discourse and reactionary propaganda spewing that your types are so typical of.
