In 2014 Obama would've still been president... Apparently the DOJ will not indict a sitting president so besides the apparent double standard by Shapiro, there's also that.

Under the US Constitution, no President (current or former) can be indicted for any acts during his time in office unless he is first impeached by the House & convicted in the Senate.

No wonder why Pelosi / Schumer tried so hard to impeach Trump on bogus charges...

What? "Under the US Constitution, no President (current or former) can be indicted for any acts during his time in office unless he is first impeached by the House & convicted in the Senate."

When you say that out loud, that makes sense to you?

Exactly which section covers this?

Spiro Agnew | VICE PRESIDENT'S CAN'T BE INDICTED? SHOOT, SON, SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME THAT BEFORE I PLEAD GUILTY TAX EVASION. IN 1973. | image tagged in spiro agnew | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
yeah, I think you added some things.

Like the whole bit about "Under the US Constitution, no President (current or former) can be indicted for any acts during his time in office unless he is first impeached by the House & convicted in the Senate."

There is a standing DoJ memo stating that a sitting President can't be indicted.

So. Again. Where in the Constitution is anything about not being able to indict a sitting or former President or Vice President?

Nope... I'm talking about the application of the original meaning. All constitutional provisions must
have the same fixed meaning they did when they were adopted. At issue herein is the main text of
the Constitution—including the Article concerning executive power (Article II) and the Section
concerning impeachment (Article 1 Section 3)—which was ratified in 1788. SCOTUS has already verified this interpretation in other applications...

Yeah... that's you adding things.

There's nothing contained within the Constitution that says this. There's nothing in the writings of the founders that brings this up.

Clearly.

Which ones are they?
