No, there is nothing in the Constitution to prohibit it.
Pease quote the Article of the Constitution that confused you. If you dare.

The Japanese were losing the war from the start, the bombing of N & H, respectively was done to show how powerful we were to the Soviet Union as well as to make Japan our economic bitch again like what was done by Matthew Perry. The military does not care about lives - they care about power.

"Dare"?

It would be just as dumb to argue that the bombing of Laos was constitutional, moreover the Vietnam war and draft.

And, no, does the Constitution specifically say Henry Kissinger should be arrested for war crimes, no, it also doesn't say anything about bombing the shit out of people we don't like for economic hegemony, Jesus Christ, Rush Limbaugh, give me an argument worth my time.

It can be debated whether or not dropping those two bombs was necessary in order to force Japan to surrender, and definitely could be measured against the 'spirit' of the Geneva Accords; but it cannot be debated if doing so was Constitutional. Congress authorized war according to the Constitution, and the conducting of war is an Executive Branch matter . . . according to the Constitution.

That's one historical perspective, yes; and the exact opposite perspective also exists. Both with plenty of facts, figures, and statistics.

I want you to read, then reread what I wrote, and then answer again.

I re-read it and I stand by it. So impasse . . . which is where historians and military experts have been in their similar arguments on that subject since the bombs were dropped. I myself have argued both sides in decades -- did you catch the words 'DECADES'? -- past.

Saving American lives was unconstitutional? I don't think so...

So you didn't see the assessment the US military gave to Truman estimating how many Americans would need to die in order to secure the surrender of Japan?

Without the bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, we would have had World War 2 going on for longer, it could have possibly been going on to this day

The president that decided to drop the atomic bomb was a Democrat: Harry Truman.
