It's not actually that simple.

When new mods are needed, an election is held.

Multiple people join in the election and whoever gets the most votes at the end will become a mod

My explanation is super dumbed down and it's much more complex than that, but if you want more info you should probably ask Magma

ik but like why do y'all need a 30 step process for someone getting mod when in the first place entering the election to get mod your odds are probably like 0.0001% chance of getting mod
just make a long ass form or something.

Well a long form is flawed in many ways

Here's 2 examples

1. You can fake your answers

2. If you just joined the stream and nobody knows you, and you take the form, nobody knows how you act and won't be able to judge whether you'll be a good mod or if you'll abuse your power.

We currently my toy have four active mods, and said mods have better things to be doing all day than approve images. We hope to hold another election soon, right before the school year starts.
