There you go. Proof that 'first-wave' feminists were misogynists. People will always act like they weren't, but if I'm going to be honest it was better when women couldn't vote. Let me explain:
The fundamental political unit is the nuclear family. This means a marriage between one man and one woman with the goal being to raise children to be good people. Ideally, responsibilities at home are primarily done by the woman and children, and the providing is primarily done by the man. Leadership would be done by the man, with counsel from the women. As such, this essentially meant that there was one vote per nuclear family. It is also plainly true that men are less emotional and less likely to be swayed than women. Because of that, priests, monks, and men looking for a wife also would have been able to vote.
TL;DR: It was better for women not to be able to vote because back when they weren't able to, society was better and allowed them to essentially vote. Anyhow, our low-trust today society doesn't allow things such as that.
