Yeah, because we never heard this tune before.

Indictments not only haven't weakened his base, it's boosted their morale, of all things.

The other figures likewise applied back then, in fact, more so, all the way to Congress, Fox, you name it. Trump was so hated, Democrats wanted him to win the primaries as it would cinch the election. Which it did. Stop me when this echo starts ringing familiar.

2020 it was Trump vs Covid.
2024 it will be Biden vs Trump AND Biden.

Right now, 2023, something drastic better happen because at this point Biden's chances are looking like what would happen if the Titanic and the Hindenburg had a baby. A really plump one.

The DNC repeating the 2016 refrain of wishing Trump runs will serve only to give those who are only lukewarm about Biden (which is, what, 100% of those who don't hate him?) and excuse to stay home on Election Day.
Either they really are this astoundingly mathematicaly impossibly stupid, or they - who made millions off Trump as well - are doing this by design. No Advanced Calc needed to figure this sham out.

A lot can happen in 15-months. Politics is the art of addition. We will see how many voters the Criminal-Candidate adds to his losing total of 2020. With COVID behind us, on Biden's watch; Historically low unemployment, higher wages, record stock market earnings and inflation under control without a recession, on Biden's watch; and, Russia's Putin's war against Ukraine failing while NATO has never been stronger or more unified, six words sum up Trump's challenge, "It got better on Biden's Watch."

While Biden's image needs polishing, his results have been noticed. I saw a report yesterday that summed it up. Many Americans have a negative view of how things are on a national basis. Yet, majorities in every state think things are pretty good where they live. Biden can prove he deserves credit for most of the improvements since 2020. Tommy Tuberville's anti-woman attack on the military and the MAGA-GOP threat to once again shut down the government will do nothing to convince women and independents to throw in with the Criminal-Candidate in 2024. Polarization helped him get elected in 2016. It was his downfall in 2020 and has worn thinner as a campaign tool for next year.

Relying on something(s) that hasn't happened yet for an extremely needed boost isn't exactly the best statergy.

Problem is you're thinking with logic and reason.
Most folks go by optics, perception, and, sadly, their own stupidity. They're seeing not new jobs, but vacated jobs being refilled (which has been the case till just the other week). They're seeing higher prices. They're seeing yet another foreign intervention in a country most never heard of, let alone the ramifications. They're seeing everyone tell us a president they aren't enthused about is a guaranteed win. They'll see that as a reason to not bother voting.

Meanwhile, Trump voters are increasingly energized by their favorite perpetual victim and the continued growth of his ranking in the polls. They're seeing the same things that antagonized them into voting for him in 2016 continue - and even increase - illegals crossing the border, LGBT demands for some pronoun 'issue' and athletes using that to game the system. They're seeing their dreaded swamp monsters going after their messiah & hero.

One recent poll has them at a dead heat, another has Biden cutting into Trump's lead.
A lot better happen in 15-months, because what WE all are seeing is the makings of Trump winning the popular vote as well this time. The only hope we have are Republicans turned off by Trump and his constant drama, and so far that doesn't look like enough to bank on.
