True, but that won't stop the children on both sides who're obsessed with trends, nor will it stop the modern activist culture nowadays where everyone feels they have to pick the "good side" in literally everything and do what they can do assert their stance.

That hasn't stopped them yet. Not only can they make more accounts, they do it fast enough that bad behavior that violates their TOS still gets through before anyone can do anything about it... if they do.
