Sadly, not a joke. Some of em were acting like anyone who did the run was a irl serial killer. And yes, i am flipping them off.

It's not to be compared at quite that level, and I don't condone the "video games inherently cause violence" teachings or whatever, but there are psychological similarities between written characters and real life people. Why do you think Undertale's story was good to begin with? The characters actually felt like they had emotion. This is a factor in why a lot of stories are good.

Yes, but flipping out and telling someone to try to murder someone in real life is more insane than not getting too emotionally attached to a videogame character. It's normal to like the characters, even to refuse to kill them in your own game.
