I don't single out Christianity for being a fantastical fairytale masquerading as a surrogate for science. That's the functional definition of religion. I think it sets us back to infect our children with such sociological diseases because it robs them of their agency, allows people to skirt responsibility for their shortcomings, and wash their hands of stewardship of the planet. (No reason to take a long-term view of things when we're in the so-called end times.)

But in practice I don't see Christianity as inherently better or worse than any other faith. They're all bent on stomping out the only thing that makes homosapiens special: our capacity for rational, reasonable, critical thought.

According to religious doctrine anyone can be saved, if they accept the religion and properly observe its requirements. All 3 Abrahamic religions are like this: we alone hold the keys to the kingdom of heaven so swear allegiance, follow our rituals, observe our proscriptions and you too can join the grand cosmic carnival in the sky after you're dead, and everyone else is fxcked no matter what.

As David Cross once pointed out, Judaism is the only religion that doesn't let you not be in it. Other religions have "non-practicing" or "lapse" memebers, but only Judaism counts atheists among its ranks.

Yes, we should prevent children from a lot of stuff like that, Me as a child was almost brainwashed by the right when I was a little child unable to check the validity of what I was watching. The fact that youtube ads were showing me blatant misinformation attempting to brainwash me is absolutely disgusting, I feel so bad for the children that continued watching it and were actually the brainwashed by it.
