Why are we the world police? We got ourselves into Vietnam and the end result is a lot of dead Americans and So. Vietnamese and No. Vietnam/China took over.

Biden has severely depleted our military and he wants to get us into WWIII against Russia. And not just Russia but China. So the United States - the ONLY military power in the free world - will get pulled into a war with Russia and China with nothing to fight with and a blithering idiot command-in-chief.

The rest of the free world either has no military or a very weak military, so it is ALWAYS the dumb old USA who has to send in all of our soldiers to fight every single war.

Why is Ukraine our responsibility? Why are we protecting them? Oh... I know... because Biden had worked out a deal with Burisma (a Ukrainian energy company) to pay Hunter millions of dollars, which "the big guy" takes half of it. If Russia takes over then Hunter will have to go without one less hooker and slow down his crack addiction.

Not to mention the Democrat party is getting billions of US taxpayer dollars laundered through Ukraine. I do not EVER want US taxpayer dollars going to ANY political party. That is corruption at it's worst. And the Democrat party is more corrupt now than they have ever been and they just keep getting worse.

So if you think going to war with Russia and China with our soldiers armed with a handful of BB guns because the Moron-In-Chief has destroyed our military superiority. We have no gas in our reserves. The Moron-In-Chief and his party didn't seem to care about the 80 Billion dollars of military hardware they just handed over to the Taliban.

So let Zelensky and Putin work out their difference on their own and STOP wasting our money and military over there.

The principle difference, of course, being that in Vietnam, WE were the outside unwelcome force not supported by the locals.

No, no, no and no. WE were NOT the "outside unwelcomed force" in Vietnam. WE were not Russia in that scenario. WE were still the US and North Vietnam and China were in Putin's position. WE were, in theory, trying to stop the advance of communism from taking over South Vietnam. WE were "protecting" South Vietnam. And WE ended up getting our butts handed to us in Vietnam.

WE had no business in Vietnam. WE got ourselves into a major quagmire in Vietnam just like what Biden is trying to do in Ukraine.

WE need to NOT repeat history.

BTW What happened to all of the anti-war Democrats? Where did they go? I thought you guys were always the ones who hated war at all costs. Where did those Democrats go. Ya know, the Cindy Shehan's of the country. Will the Dems report in the news the body count of our soldiers when we go to war with Russia?

Oh yeah, you guys threw Cindy Shehan under the bus when Obama go elected because then the war in the Middle East was a Democrat war and war is ONLY okay when the Dems are in charge. Just like how there wasn't much protest when LBJ bungled us into the Vietnam war but once Nixon was elected in 68 then the protests went onto high gear.

So war is only acceptable to the left if you guys start it. If a Republican starts it (like the Bush family) then war is evil and corrupt. And it is only being fought because of capitalism (which the left and all communists, fascists, socialists and Nazis despise). But if a Democrat gets us into a war the cause (regardless if it is never stated) is noble.

Wars should ONLY be fought to protect the freedom of the citizens of the United States of America and for no other reason. We do not need to protect other nations ever. That is their business. If they cannot defend themselves then it is not our concern.\

And no. I do not support Russia. Putin is an evil man. But I also do not support Ukraine and Zelensky is a corrupt man.

The South Vietnam government was NOT a freedom-spreading one.

I didn't say they were spreading freedom. That is was supposedly what we were doing but actually we were there to stop the Communists from taking over yet another country.

First and foremost, you need to realize that I think the Vietnam war was none of our business. We should have never gotten into that war. The same with South Korea, however, in retrospect, I am happy that South Korea is a free country.

We really need to drop this idea that we are the world's police force. But in order to do that we must first get out of the UN and out of NATO. NATO, specifically, has gotten far too many American soldiers killed by putting our soldiers in harms way, fighting wars that were none of our business. Wars that NATO or the UN wanted us to fight.

And we're the suckers that send our people in to fight those wars. Aside from the UK, Canada and Australia, no one else sends their soldiers to fight. A lot of countries don't even have an army or a system of defense, they just hope we'll come in and save them.
