What if someone is able to put the soul into a new consciousness? A bit like how the Soul of the Hero works in the Zelda series?

Well, then it wouldn't be him then, his soul is barely powerful enough to create its own body, but cant create a new consciousness, so you would need an artificial one, luckily the soul contains all memories and personalities
