Maybe the new idea could be "We should be able to change our usernames every 30 days", and our name after being changed is reserved for 31 days"
Then it works out for everyone, including people like you know take holiday-usernames to the next level ^-^

I mean how during Christmas, we could be able to tap a button in settings, to change our usernames while reserving our own usernames (so that no one steals it)

Well if you aren’t doing a Thanksgiving username (like me) you won’t have a problem.
I first started not doing a Thanksgiving name last year because a troll stole one of my usernames in 2021 when I did that. Like I said, if you only change it those two times you won’t have a problem. Nobody can use your previous username for 30 days, so when you change it during Halloween you’ll be fine. You can change it back for November, and then in December use the Festive_ or whatever you want username. You can still change it back in January.

But since we can't change our username for 30 days either, wouldn't that mean that any user that is closely watching for when the 30 days are up, could just take our username if we don't change ours fast enough? Or am I misunderstanding something, and we are able to take back our username before any other user?

Don't quote me, but I think that when you change your username, your old name is reserved for a while, possibly the same 30 day period.

Yes they could, but there is a very slim to none chance of that happening.

It's a scary thought that someone could just take your username if they want too...

But yes I agree, this would be helpful.
