I don't really care about upvotes, I care that it gets submitted. It just so happens occasionally it gets quite a few upvotes

I like the dopamine hit from upvotes. But the feeling of satisfaction I get from seeing positive comments is 1,000,000x better

I care about upvotes for 3 reasons. I like showing people my memes ( hence why I post them) so upvotes mean;
1. People saw the meme ( yay)
2. People enjoyed the meme ( my work was converted into joy for others and I have proof of that).
3. If the meme didn’t get upvotes then that means that something was did wrong. ( I’m always looking for ways to improve so the lack of upvotes work as feedback on what I need to improve )
