Since the Founders were big on the Bible they had a Ten Commandments kind of mentality about certain things. With the Constitution it was to keep it as simple as possible while still be workable. Now like the Ten Commandments nobody can 100% follow it 24/7. HOWEVER, it is expected to at least make an attempt at the minimum.
