Simple… AA was implemented (so I have been told) in order to end discrimination, to prevent its recurrence, and to create new opportunities that were previously denied minorities (Blacks).
It had absolutely nothing to do with lbgtq. Now that it has been proven that AA is discriminatory, the Supreme Court has decided that the practice is and was unconstitutional. Their ruling will have no effect on hiring. It was mostly a College/University Admissions case.
When my doctor operates on me, I want him/her to be the best and most qualified. Not a diversity-hire based on the way they look or who they have sex with.
