Funny… you never mention which books and where they are banned. Never.

Books about Sexuality, and Race top the list and most written by women, queer or coloured people including pulitzer and nobel winners, best sellers and award winning books; Flamer, Tricks, Handmaids Tale, Crank, Push (made into a movie), Sold, A Court of Mist and Fury, This Book is Gay, The Bluest Eye, Milk and Honey, Nobel winner by Toni Morrison Beloved (also a movie). Just a short list, also taking the rights and resposability away from parents on what they allow their children can or cant read. You shouldnt be able to decide what someone elses kid can or cant read. More rights being taken away

Where are they banned? At school libraries?? I have no problem with that. If parents want their individual child to have access to said literature, they can still buy there own copies on Amazon or local bookstores. Public school libraries are not the place if the subject matter is centered around sex and “gender” and especially if they have explicit illustrations that are pornographic in nature.

Libraries too, and if they dont, repubs are threatening defunding. Its bullshit. They really want to stunt a kids growth and learn to hate themselves. No support, empathy, understaning, growth, then you get higher suicide rates, drug use, run aways, self harm and distant families. They tried all that in Manitoba a couple weeks ago, they had to move the town hall to an arena to accomodate the larger crowd and the book banners were sent packing with a resounding "get the f**k outta here". So proud of my home province. Youre worried about what kids can read and learn about and end up chaseing them away to the wrong place and a click of a button the internet can really f**k shit up.

And what about the one's about race, black history like Toni Morrison's Nobel winner, Beloved, about post civil war race relations? Its not about sexuality and far from the only one. What have you got against that and those like it? Cant say kids should'nt be exposed to that.

From what I hear (at least in some places if not all), most banned are because of race, like even about having pride in one's own hair!

You know you are banning books, you can easily find out which ones by state. Same as the Nazi party did. Rewriting history.

They had the diary of anne frank banned, they forced publishers to rewrite the story of rosa parks to remove any reference to the racism involved. "Some people" lost their civil rights.

Texas has banned the most books of all, even more than Florida!
