I am an ally. I haven't met or just worked with just one, I have friends and family who are LGBTQ+, and I am an artist and musician and its a very large community with alllll kinds of LGBTQ+ I've been associated with for atleast 3 decades all accross this country, and its not hate I harbour, its disdain for people who know nothing about a community with no desire to understand what they're all about. You may find a story here or there of a bad apple, just as you would find a countless number of coaches, teachers, or priests or anybody of authority who use that authority and gain control over children to abuse which you hear about all the time, like coach nassar, big story about him for years of abuse and shit ton of more coaches you hear about, f**king tons, its terrible, but I dont hear you railing against coaches or priests et al, you just seem hyper focused on the LGBTQ community. I get you dont like the gays but theyre definately not the devil you think they are and its sad because there are alot of good people who are LGBTQ+, and right now, a f**k ton more than coaches.

It has somewhat recently came out that in addition to the Catholic Church, the Southern Baptist Church has also had it's fair share of abuse, molestation, and cover-ups..... and what have we seen?? Crickets... Radio silence.

Now imagine if it had been the drag queen story hour instead of the Southern Baptist Church.

I'd bet the farm, the dog, the cat, and the kitchen sink it would be wall to wall memes..... It'd be like an atomic bomb went off.

True....but the Baptist and Catholic churches DO get a free ride on the tax exempt train.

Actually it's not true, as those of "LGBTQ" have been called child molestors for millenia - and that's as accusation that has been generally attached to them all, a suspicion they cannot shake as seen with memes such as these, something lobbed at them as a shared characteristic.

Conversely, cases from other groups or demographics tend to be looked at as individuals which are exemptions to the norm, not a commonality. No one is saying keep your childen away from teachers, football coaches, babysitters or adults, etc.

Granted, some groups do get tarred, but that's by stereoptyping bigots looking to for reasons to add to their bucket of hate. It's a basic go-to with antisemitics, and Protestants love hurling it at the Catholic Church. Muslims too are oft labeled as such.

That the Catholic Church just so happens to be a big body with extensive records doesn't seem to matter as Bible Belters brush those within their own ranks under the rug as supposed rare exceptions, while those from the North and whatnot wouldn't dare allow their children to be alone for a second with them folks.

I'm assuming you meant "not true" regarding their premise... I was focused more on replying to the second half of their statement. So fair enough.

And as far as the shirt- Clearly a shirt doesn't prove molestation... and it's just one guy.... and decades of actual documented sexual abuse is clearly worse than some dude in a shirt... but it's just such a bad look........ 😬 And hopefully there aren't too many more of those shirts floating around in existence. It seems directly counterproductive to helping LGBTQ progress in society. Idk. Seeing something like this feels like when I saw riots after the peaceful BLM protests. Like... well sh*t.... This is like handing slobbering right wing dogs red meat. ^I want to make a meme template portraying that but I so far I haven't found a good image..

Who knows about that guy in the shirt, could be NAMBLA, could be a faker just trying to make to movement look bad. Note the stubble. Not to stereotype people, but folks in that crowd tends to be rather fastidious about being properly trimmed. Him being so open and posing for the camera with that shirt, that's a tad suspect.

5% of those arrested for rioting during the BLM protests in NYC came from other states. A handful of outside agitaters is all it takes to get a crowd going.

You should see the statistics for kids being molested by school teachers...

How about coaches? Lots of those abusing boys and girls. Lots.
