Not the issue. Most of the 100ish banned books were merely in the library, not part of the curriculum.

Have you ever had to do a term paper that required research before? Books are kind of helpful in doing those kinds of things especially when you have to do your source citations for I don't know a philosophy or history class. If you make a topic optional for a student you have to supply the informational resources. I mean don't you think it's kind of outlandish to not have a copy of the holy Bible the Quran and the Torah in a library that teaches history those are a huge part of our world history are they not?

I mean you can't exactly explain the Catholic Church's stance during the dark ages without understanding the background of the religiosity created and manipulated by the Catholic church now can you without the original source material you have nothing to compare/contrast.

The bible has sex in it, which means it falls into the category of books a mob of bullies threatened to sue schools for having.

The fact that the same mob of bullies then threatened to sue the schools for not putting one of those banned books back just shows how small minded, self-serving and duplicitous they are. I don't expect you to understand.

Apparently sexual content is only legit "educational" / appropriate for children when it involves a religion.....

Now if you say that children are too young to decide their religion but not too young to choose their gender I'm going to have to call you irrational.
