It might be harder for them.
I would just let my kid know that I’m there when they’re ready to talk.

When I told my dad about the time I almost ended my life, he acted like I hadn't said anything. I think the information wouldn't get through. Not his fault. Probably should have kept that little tidbit to myself.

Talk to people who you trust and know will listen.
