"I'm this close to breaking bad."

We know true LoTR fans wish for this to be the real quote, but unfortunately, we have bad news.

It is highly unlikely that Boromir had ever been in contact with methamphetamine, or had even heard about it.

Given his setting and time period, historians and archeologists alike have expressed their dissatisfaction with the evidence we presented for the existence of meth anywhere near the settlements of Men where Boromir is most likely to have loitered.

Even though strong evidence pointing towards a massive meth lab under a hole in a mountain was found near Shire, we're quite sure Boromir was never anywhere near it.

"One does not simply microwave the Ring."

It's pretty close to the plot of Lord of the Rings, so an average fan would typically believe the dialogue to be true.

Unfortunately, observers have found that none of the members in the council of Elrond ever mention microwaving the Ring as an alternative to dropping it into Mount Doom. Microwaves are usually not built to handle the energy levels of a volcano, especially, a volcano that responds to Sauron.

No, Boromir never felt the need to alert the council to the dangers of microwaving the Ring.

"Look, Ma, I made a hand telescope."

Adorable, undoubtedly, but there is no evidence that Tolkien knew what telescopes were. He just wasn't smart enough.

If Tolkien was smart enough, he would have got the Great Eagles to carry the Ring to Mount Doom in a matter of days, instead of having to write three books to take it there.

"This many times, have I abused mod powers."

Boromir rejected any claims of begging for mod, or pleading for the site mods to check his allegedly clean logs.

At further investigation, it's found that Boromir was never actually mod.

"One does not simply walk into Mordor."

No matter how obvious a fact the quote suggests, most fans consider this to be the true quote.

Even though no quote of the kind was found in the book, movie fans are still adamant that this is the exact dialogue that was spoken in the film.

We hope all this clears up when Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is finally released.
