Well it's your lucky day then- you don't need to be partisan, because neither political party has ever supported Trump. The only support Trump has ever had is from enough real Americans to get him elected in the first place.

According to several sources, the Republican Party and two associated PACs spent about a billion dollars on Mr. Trump's re-election effort. Some people might call that substantial support. If he does not want it, he can pass next time they offer him a check.

No politician ever passes on campaign contribution

History is littered with examples of politicians refusing to accept or returning donations. Former NY District Attorney Cy Vance decided against pursuing a real estate case against Donald Trump and his former wife. Subsequently one of Trump's lawyers tried to make a substantial donation to Vance's campaign. Vance refused the donation. Bill Clinton's campaign returned a substantial amount of money amassed from smaller donations that originated with companies owned by the People's Republic of China. Many politicians returned donations made by convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein. Politicians and political parties are acutely aware that people who might not share their values are out there with money and say no to them routinely.

The point is Trump needed the Republican Party to win in 2016 and almost win in 2020. I have seen reports that he concluded that he would lose as an Independent in 2024. The statement "neither political party has ever supported Trump," is untrue.
