[image deleted] I live near the US/Canada border, and during the wintertime the temperature here can easily drop to 40-50 below. That kind of cold is very hard on batteries. Batteries that perform really well during the warmer months fail here most frequently during the bitter cold of winter.
Add the fact that I live in a very rural area that has more moose than people, and that we have regular power outages during the winter, along with very few charging stations, and EVs make absolutely no sense at all.
Ditto for electric stoves... Propane gas stoves work during power outages and I don't know anyone who lives here who owns, or wants to own, an electric stove.
