Yes; which is one of the reasons that Trump tried to drain the swamp; and then the RINOs infesting the House and Senate colluded with the political Left to destroy him.
George Washington was against the two party system for exactly this reason.

He wasn't against a two-party system; he was against the whole idea of political parties altogether. Political parties ultimately remove the individual's identity, replacing it with groupthink.
