Drug overdoses killed the equivalent
of a large plane full of Americans
every day last year, figures show.
Early data showed that more than
105,000 people died, the equivalent
of over 300 per day.
Due to reporting delays, officials
expect the final count to be more
than 109,680, which would be
a record high.
