firefox is "independent" (all ik is that it's made by Mozilla but idk anything about them) and from what i know FF definitely won't track you AS MUCH as Chrome would, it still probably has some minor analytics or whatever
but for those who use the internet for more than just watching videos or posting on social media or whatever than i'd reccommend the fox for sure
Chrome has its own advantages but i only use it when something doesn't work on FF so i don't have much knowledge on it either (MS Edge is similar from what i've heard and iirc it was developed from Chrome/Chromium but i don't use Edge AT ALL so i have no idea there)
and if you ever wanna go full privacy, there's Pale Moon, it has to my knowledge NO trackers, spyware, etc, however it is quite ancient in terms of its appearance and functionality (it has some similarities to Internet Explorer) and a lot of things will either not work at all or work really damn well
(sorry if this message sounded like an advertisement for any of the browsers, i'm just a stranger on the internet discussing about the topic lol)
