The map is awesome you could move around while looking at your map. It’s the same thing that made Dead Space cool. You could access the maps and inventory while also moving around. A good game knows how to keep the controller in your hands.

It showed where you were. You were a green arrow, and the objectives were either red or blue. It wasn’t a full map, so you changed maps if you went to a different region, but you always had a marker.

There’s no fast travel unless you go to one of five bus stops. I personally hate fast travel, but it can be a convenience if you’re far away from something.

The outposts also respawn enemies after you cleared them. So it might be confusing if you played the newer games where outposts were a one time thing.

games like skyrim and fallout are my personal fav rpgs

especially bc they have hardcore modes where you can't fast travel at all or save until you find a bed

That’s basically the same as Far Cry 2 except you can also save in the pause menu (and it’s not really an RPG like Skyrim is).

Make your world exciting to wander through, don’t make me want to skip it.
