Just a take a bunch of one specific item, apples for example, then use ultrahand to stick them all together. Then it's automatically saved as an autobuild template.

After that just find an area with the item you want to gather, activate autobuild, and it will gather the items for you.

I now have over 200 apples

it consumes zonaite, right?
So basically you can just turn zonaite into anything you want. Interesting

It only consumes zonaite if you press build and don't have all of the required parts. So just don't press A and you'll just have a pile of the items you want.

Also I'm pretty sure you can't use zonaite to make copies of items.
