Lucas also said before that he added the "force" to give a spirituality feel to the jedi, but Lucas meant it more like Buddhists.

It's not a bad theory however, Anakin was conceived likely through Darth Plagueous' manipulation of the force if I remember correctly

So then Palpatine, being his apprentice would have known who and what Anakin was. That aldo adds another twist to it, what if Anakin was designed to destroy the Jedi from even before Palpatine's time. Did Qui Gon just delay the inevitable? Was Palpatine planning to go get him once he was the right age to become an apprentice? The plot thickens. Or maybe I'm just crazy.
