I know they can't just give you a complete map at the start of the game but damn you could at least give an explanation about what happened

I think what happened is the when she upgrade the sheikiah slate it reset everything
And I also think the shrines and towers dissolved after calamity Gannon was defeated

Why would the Sheikah build that? Wouldn't it be logical to save the tech for the next Ganon?

Why in the world would they do that after what happened last time?

The shrines and towers were still really useful to Link... The guardians, not so much, but still it doesn't make sense for the 10000 yr old sheikah to build a self-destruct
