Fr... just a couple of days ago I was talking to a girl in my class about music. She's a Taylor Swift fan and I said that Taylor Swift isn't really my type of music. I wasn't mean or anything. I just said I prefer metal, but she got really offended. I really don't understand why she got so mad. I mean, that's just my taste in music and besides that she doesn't like metal, but I have no problem with that (even though she called it just a bunch of noise). Some people just have to learn to accept that others may not like their favourite musicians.

Also I'm pretty sure she never listened to a metal song besides maybe Master Of Puppets (because of Stranger Things).

yeah. They cant jump to conclusions about an entire genre without knowing at least a little about it first

Yeah, that's true. I've met some people who think that all metal sounds like Cannibal Corpse.

Yeah, I don't understand why people think metalheads are violent. Sure, there may be a couple of violent metalheads, but there are some violent people in every kind of genre of music. Some weeks ago I've been to a concert and the people there were some of the nicest I've ever met. Normally I'm not that type of person who talks to strangers, but the people there all were really friendly and we had some awesome conversations about our favourite bands. And all metalheads I met on the internet were pretty chill people too.

yeah. We are more chill than most other genres, I've found. The worst genre for toxic fans is probably Kpop as far as I can tell

That's what I observed too. Sometimes the Kpop community seems to be more toxic than nuclear waste.
