motion activated spraying things (be it the tap, soap, or dryer) in bathrooms are pointless, you have to wag your hand to make sure it doesn't turn off which means you can only wash one hand at a time meaning it takes a whole lot longer, not only that it's also less reliable because there's more components and circuitry, which means higher repair costs... so really they have literally NO upsides
