I would attribute that to stereotyping by self professed "allies" of alternative lifestyles. Stripped each group of their identity and lumped them all together. Odd.

Transitioned from a support group to a marketing campaign to enlist more members. I'm don't think the old school gays and lesbians had a thing to do with it.

That definitely seems to be the case. The straight, white, rich, old, powerful politicians are the ones leading the agenda for the case that they do not represent.

Of the LGBTQIA+ "community" are not a community at all because:
The "L"'s are attracted to other women and repulsed by men.
The "G"'s are attracted to other men and repulsed by women.
The "B"'s are attracted to BOTH genders (meaning there's only 2 genders)
The "T"'s were formerly "G"'s who dress like women and known as "transvestites" and been over taken by the other "T"'s, the "trans-gender" who say there's more than 2 genders, yet themselves are ONLY transitioning from men-to-women OR women-to-men.
The "Q"'s self-proclaim they're queer and claim they want equal treatment, yet continually ask for special treatment and privileges.
The "I"'s are "inter-sexual", yet can't define who they're attracted to
The "A"'s claim to be allies, but each of these groups have opposing views of the other groups under the same "community", so how can an "ally" be allies of all opposing sides.

We are on the same wavelength.
