A healthy family (mine) caught Covid back in January 2021, and it was my fault because I was around some Covid denier friends who thought they just had a cold.
My mom nearly died from it. She was sent to the hospital and could barely breathe, and she still to this day cannot taste or smell because of it. She also has brain fog from it. (Long Covid)
My dad barely had any symptoms yet he too cannot smell or taste as much as he used to be able to (long Covid as well)
My grandma (who is over 80) caught it too, and was extremely sick from it. She said she’s never had such a bad sickness before.
I caught it, seemed fine to me, but long Covid hit me too. Brain fog from long Covid added on top of my adhd problems, so I struggled in school that year due to the literal inability to focus or learn, despite me trying.
After about 7 months, it all seemed like things were normal
Then a new variant came and we all got it again. Same exact thing we had to go through, except this time we made sure my mom didn’t have to go to the hospital again.
When you catch a sickness twice that ruins a lot of things you do, especially puts your mom in jeopardy, there’s no way to call that gaslighting
(We’ve caught coughs, colds, and other respiratory viruses, and they were nothing like Covid-19. Don’t say “iTs JusT aNoThEr CoLd”)
I’d also like to mention that there are tons of statistics that prove that vaccines have done more help than harm. Even if they don’t prevent you from catching Covid, they still lessen the symptoms, so they are not overall useless. And extra doses of boosters raise immunity towards Mutated Covid viruses
