You bring up an interesting point.
If we view capitalism and capitalists as an undesirable outcome, yes, there is no hope. The environment will never be cleaned.
However.
If we view capitalists and capitalism as a tool to be selectively employed, then yes. There is a lot of hope to be had.
These people who staff companies LOVE organization, data, and plans upon plans. (I know this because I have to work with them.) They value big titles and pay checks.
If we incentivize these people with the big titles and paychecks that are dependent upon achieving quarterly goals that are measurable environmental cleaning, they'll go at it hard.
They'll proudly trumpet their cleaning achievements in endless webinars and powerpoint presentations.
And we get a cleaned up planet.
And it's a never ending cycle, because people endlessly pollute. It's in our nature. Existence makes pollution happen, on some level.
So, they'll always have that goal in front of them.
