The Speaker bought a 2 bedroom condo out in the burbs, where he claims he and his family live (they don't). He "rents" a house not far from the capital building.
Except...
He bought that house via a friend in a Straw Purchase (an actual legal thing), and then pays rent to himself.
That rent money isn't out of his paycheck. It's actually paid by the state, because it's such a hardship for him to commute from the suburb to the capital building.
Oh, and he likely has a mistress (who is a lobbyist).
