So I work at a fast food restaurant called "Culver's," and everyday, we sell three flavors of custard (kinda like ice cream)
-Chocolate
-Vanilla
-"Flavor of the Day"
The flavor of the day changes daily, sometimes we have mint chip, or strawberry, or dark chocolate, or peanut, all sorts of things. If the flavor of the day is cappuccino, you can't get peaches and cream. Simple to understand, right?
Well, I was working at the custard station, and this lady came through the drive-through and wanted strawberry custard on a waffle cone.
HOWEVER
the flavor of the day was not strawberry. The Drive order taker interpreted this as making a concrete (sorta like a blizzard at dairy queen)-- mixing together vanilla with strawberries, and giving her a cone on the side.
So, I made this, and brought it out to her.
She. Was. NOT. Happy.
She had the dumbest argument ever, saying "how is she supposed to drive and eat this at the same time?!" she NEEDS a cone so she can eat it. What is she supposed to do? get the ice cream scooper out the back of her car "OH WAIT I DON'T HAVE ONE! YOU DO! ITS YOUR JOB!!"
internally I was like "Ma'am I give 0 f*cks about this" but of course I had to smile and politely explain that we aren't allowed to do that, and that it would just waste a ton of custard and everyone's time.
She actually tried to follow me into the building through the employees-only side door to talk to my manager, EVEN WHEN I SAID I WAS ALREADY GETTING HIM
long story short, she left without her food, and without a refund.
Take that, Karen.
maybe look at the menu before ordering next time.
