The problem is that much of the time they want to ignore the proper channels.
The federal ruling should be overturned, but it needs to be done through the proper appeals process.
Just like if they want abortion to be a constitutionally protected right, they can't just pretend one exists when it doesn't, but they could introduce and try to pass a constitutional amendment that does.
