In Germany it's not illegal, but it can be illegal to help people who try to commit suicide in both ways. (You can't help them out of the situation if they don't want it, but you also can't help them kill themselves)

and meanwhile i'm over here still trying to figure out as to why almost everyone tries to stop people who try to commit suicide... like, it's their wish and consciously made choice that they want to die, so why do people try to stop them?
