Sorry for the late comment, but lemme explain to you what Inconvenientruths is trying to say but what I'm explaining is with a left wing bias.

While your comment is correct, the meme is actually talking about an upcoming referendum happening in Australia in five weeks time called the Voice to Parliament.

This guy claims that Voice to Parliament is going to be "apartheid" because Sky News Australia (the Australian variation of Fox News) says so. Which all Voice to Parliament will do is that it will recognise Indigenous Australians as the Original Inhabitants of Australia in the constitution, which all the constitution says about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples is that they are counted amongst the population (which was the 1967 referendum led by Harold Holt). The 1967 referendum did not recognise Indigenous Australians as the original inhabitants of Australia, which it only made them as equally recognised as other non-whites, but wasn't and still isn't equitable.

Anyways, the other reasons to have Voice to Parliament is to have a permanent advisory body which would help close the gap on Indigenous Affairs for things such as healthcare, education, etc. Don't forget, this would be a pathway to treaty which would mean that Indigenous Australians would be finally able to claim back their country which was stolen in 1788.

One thing the Albanese government haven't considered from what I know is that Australia Day (which is the Australian equivalent of Independence Day 4th of July but has a more similar meaning to Columbus Day) is not going to have its date changed because January 26 is a very sensitive day because it is a day of genocide and a day of White Australian Nationalism.

While America has the Confederate flag as an offensive flag, Australia may as well have its current blue ensign flag with the union jack be categorised the same place as the Confederate flag because it is a flag which represents genocide and has been now used by neo-nazis. They've used them at least in Victoria (an Australian state) because of the ban of the Nazi Swastika. See image as evidence...
